Researchers claim that human hands, which unfortunately have to now have to battle with ever smaller sized keypads and buttons on high-tech paraphernalia, have started to grow smaller.
However, the adaptation is not yet complete, and the majority of people are still encumbered with normal-size hands. As a result, they must tolerate a lot of frustrating digital clumsiness.
Ever aware of how they may help enhance the human body, cosmetic surgeons have begun to offer a selection of hand-reduction procedures, covering anything from the conventional approach of washing them in warm water followed byto the more radical hand-reduction surgery process.
One eminent plastic surgeon noted, "Many individuals don't realize the mental and physical toll it will take on a person that has a normal-size hand to deal with a cellular phone or other type of high-tech equipment that looks as if it had been made for a midget. My prediction could be that the reduction in stress these new processes allow may also lead to greater longevity, as a result of an expected reduction in blood pressure and heart attacks."
A thrilled early adapter of hand-reduction surgical treatment said, "Wow, now my hands are quite small I'm able to whiz round the keypads on my stuff like an ant with ten legs. I'm getting excited about new gizmos that will be even smaller. I'm all ready for them."
There are some well known holdouts, where large hands are a real plus, particularly among jazz pianists and basketball players.
